Monthly anniversary of Namihei’s death, and a photo book event / 波平の月命日としまZOOま

It was monthly anniversary of Namihei's death yesterday. Well, I always think of her and feel her still now.
When I look back at her photos, I notice that how enormous she was!
Namihei could be a giant budgie and her fluffy image always comforts me.
I think I mentioned about a photo book event in this blog too. I went to see it yesterday and found Ikura doing well!
The event looked very successful and I enjoyed many photo books of birds.
I've got a free coupon to make a photo book at the event, so I'll make one more for Ikura sometime.

昨日は波平の月命日でした。今でもなみちゃんがそばにいてくれる気がしています。
なみちゃんの写真を改めて見ると、本当に大きいんです。もうインコの大仏としか思えないこの写真（笑）。
このまんまるフォルムにいまでも癒しをもらっています。
そして昨日・今日と横浜で開催された、しまうまプリントさん主催のフォトブックイベント、「しまZOOま」。
昨日、友人と一緒に見てきました。
イクラ、イベントで配布されるチラシに載って大活躍です。これで少しでもインコの魅力がたくさんの人の目に入ってくれたらいいなぁと思いました。
イベントではフォトブックが１冊作れる無料クーポンを配布していたので、これでまたイクラのフォトブックを作りたいな、と思っています。

Adventurous budgie, Ikura / イクラは冒険好き。

Ikura is doing well though he is still having moulting period. I'm wondering when it will stop... once it does, I need to take him to the vet for check-up.
Well, moulting period worries me a lot. When Namihei had it, she often felt sick and I took her to the vet.
Perhaps she was very sensitive and fragile naturally (you know, she was a cancer fighter). This is why I keep an eye on Ikura's condition including his poo!
These days he is getting more adventurous and loves exploring new places in my room. Hmm... I have to check my room is safe enough for him.
Now it's time to go to bed and I'm sure he will sleep well.

 まだまだ絶賛換羽中のイクラですが、元気にしています。この換羽がいつ終わってくれるのか気になりますが、終わったら健康診断が待っています。
この換羽期間、いつも不安になってしまうのは、波平が換羽を迎えるたびに体調を崩していたからなんです。ご存知の通り、波平はガンと闘病していた先代インコ。もしかしたら生まれながらにして体が少し弱かったのかもしれませんが。
そんなわけで、イクラの体調や、フンの状態は毎日欠かさずチェックしています。
このところ、ずいぶんと冒険心が強くなったようで、私の部屋で今まで行かなかったような場所へも行くようになりました。部屋に危険なものがないかどうかしっかりチェックしないといけませんね。
本日、イクラはすでにおやすみです。快眠で朝を迎えてほしいですね。

A photo book of Ikura / イクラのフォトブック

Since Namihei passed away, I had lost passion and energy to make photo books and hold photo exhibitions.
I tried to make a photo book of Ikura once, but I didn't have enough energy to finish it.
Well, last month I was invited to exhibit a photo book at an event by a printing printing company and realised that I should treat Ikura in the same way as I did for Namihei.
Then I finally made a photo book of Ikura and the event will be held in the end of this month.
Perhaps Ikura also liked it as he kept checking the book!

突然ですが、今月27日・28日にクイーンズスクエア横浜で開催される『しまZOOま』というイベントにイクラのフォトブックを出展します。
フォトブックを作ったり、写真展をやろうなんていう気持ちは、波平とともに消え去ったのですが、このイベントを主催するしまうまプリントさまにお声がけいただいて、イクラのフォトブックを作ることに。
イクラもなみちゃんと同じように愛そう、同じように接しようと決めていたのだから、フォトブックだってたくさん作ってあげなくちゃ…と改めて気づかされました。

Ikura is growing up! / イクラの成長。

There are so many things I want to try this year and I really hope 2018 will be a good one for me and Ikura.
Speaking of Ikura, there is some progress in him. Although he is still clumsy and a bit slow, it seems that he is doing his best.
He isn't afraid of something new and always has an interest in those things.
Anyway, I want to watch warmly over the growth of Ikura.
Oh, I have got a lucky bag for him and he liked it so much. In the bag there are a perch, a board, three toys, and millet. As for me, I've got two lucky bags of tea!
Tea and Ikura always make me happy!!

 この時期は、いろいろとやりたいことや目標をたくさん考えますね。とにかく、2018年が良い１年になることを願うばかりです。
イクラはといえば、ちょっとした成長が見られました。そうはいっても、おっちょこちょいだし、頭はそんなに良くなさそうですが…。でも、いろんなことに一生懸命チャレンジしていますよ。
新しいものを怖がったりすることなく、何にでも興味を示してくれることが、イクラの良いところだと思います。
今年もイクラの成長を温かく見守っていきたいですね。
ところで、イクラのために福袋を入手しました。はい、インコちゃん用なんですよ。中身は止まり木に白樺ボード、おもちゃが３つと、粟穂です。私も自分用に紅茶の福袋を２つ購入しました。
イクラと紅茶があれば、私もハッピーに過ごせます！

Happy New Year! / あけましておめでとうございます。

Happy New Year!
First of all, I'm so happy to welcome a new year with Ikura peacefully. Yes, although Ikura is facing a moulting period, he is doing well, and keeps eating and talking cheerfully.
Well, 2017 was a challenging year for me, because of Namihei. I want to think I did everything I could do for her, but it is very sad to let her go.
Since she is my special budgie forever, please allow me to talk about her this year as well. It's very important to remember her and learn from the past spent with her.
Of course, we shouldn't forget about Ikura as well. He is showing his true colour these days and I realise he has got a good sense of humour.

みなさま、新年あけましておめでとうございます。
イクラと共に平穏に新年を迎えられたことがとてもうれしいです（イクラ、ただいま絶賛換羽中ですが…）。
昨年は、本当に多くの課題に直面する一年でした。一番の課題は、波平とのお別れです。できることはすべてやった、と思いたいですが、やはり辛い出来事でした。
波平から学んだことは多く、今でも私にとっては特別なインコ。今年もブログに登場させていただきますので、お付き合いいただければ幸いです。
もちろん、イクラのことも忘れていませんよ！最近、とうとう自分カラーが開花したのか、お笑い街道まっしぐらのイクラです。
本記事の2枚目の写真は、昨年インスタグラムでアップした写真の中でたくさん「いいね」をもらった投稿ベスト９です。インコの魅力、伝わっていますでしょうか？
