Monthly anniversary of Namiei's death, and no more separation! / 波平の月命日と隔離生活の終了。

It's a monthly anniversary of Namihei's death today and on this day I'm so glad to let Tara play with Ikura after more than a month's separation.
I took both Tara and Ikura to the vet for check-up today. As for Tara, we found AGY and he was on medication for a month.
Fortunately both are fine and the vet says they can play together! So now we just need to have health check-up twice a year as long as they're doing well.
I know Namihei always watch us from above. That's why she chose today to let them play together.
I'm so happy and it's more fun to play together!

今日は波平の月命日です。
月命日に、タラの隔離生活が終了したことが、本当にうれしいです。
朝からイクラとタラを連れて病院へ行ってきました。タラはお迎え検診でメバガクが見つかってしまい、そのまま投薬治療と隔離生活がスタートしました。
幸い、菌もなくなり、イクラも異常なし。これからは半年に１度の健康診断でＯＫだそうです。
なみちゃんが、いつもお空の上から見守ってくれているんだと思います。だからこそ、月命日を選んでくれたのでしょうね。
先生に「それじゃあもう一緒に遊ばせてもいいですか」と聞いたら、「ケンカしないようにね」と言われました。時間は少しかかるかもしれませんが、これからは仲良くみんなで遊びましょうね！

To welcome Tara to my room / タラのお引っ越し準備

Ikura and Tara are doing well. It seems that both of them started moulting though.
Well, one more week to welcome Tara to my room where Ikura and I stay.
We're visiting a vet next Sunday for check-up.
This weekend I cleaned my room to make a space for Tara and put a new table on which two cages should stay.
Oh, I used a drill driver to make new toys for them too! I'll do my best to make more so that they will never get bored. ha ha
I also made a photo book for a photo event held in Kagoshima next month. In the previous event I exhibited Ikura's book, but this time, I put all of three budgies, Namihei, Ikura, and Tara. I really hope people will enjoy my book!

イクラもタラも元気にしていますが、ふたりとも換羽時期に突入したようです。
あと１週間で、タラもイクラと私がいる部屋に引っ越しできるはずです。
次の日曜日に診察ですが、先生からは99パーセント大丈夫だと言われているので、きっとお引っ越しできますね。
そんなわけでこの週末は、部屋を片付けてタラのスペースを作ったり、新しいテーブル（イクラとタラのケージを置くための）を用意したりと忙しくしていました。
そして、先日購入した電動ドリルで、イクラとタラのためにおもちゃ作りにも挑戦。
通院用のプラスチックケースにも穴をあけて、止まり木を設置できるようにしました。
それから、来月開催されるしまうまプリントさんの「かごしまうま」イベント用にフォトブックを作りました。
以前、横浜で開催されたときはイクラの写真だけだったので、今回は波平、イクラ、タラ全員集合の川柳フォトブックです。会場で手にされた方にクスッと笑ってもらえたらうれしいですね。

When the weather is nice... / お天気の良い日は…

When the weather is nice, I rather want to stay at home. It's because I want to wash the cages for Ikura and Tara. Plus I want to let them enjoy the sunshine.
So I can go out when the weather is miserable (well, I don't want to get soaked though).
Actually there is one more reason why I reluctant to go out on a sunny day. I cannot be exposed to sunshine too much, as it will weaken my immune system.
Anyway, today was the ideal day to stay at home! Both Ikura and Tara enjoyed the sunshine and now they are in the clean cages.
These days Ikura often says "Tara stink" (in Japanese), though I don't say that exactly. As for Tara, now he can fly pretty well, and started eating pellets too. I mainly give Ikura and Tara seeds, but I also encourage them to eat pellets as well.
Tomorrow it will be the ideal day for going out, so I'll do shopping for myself and my beloved budgies.

 お天気の良い日は、私にとっては家にいる日です。イクラとタラのケージを丸洗いできるうえ、ふたりにも日光浴を楽しんでもらえますからね。
それに、私自身、日光にあまり当たらないようにと病院で言われているので（免疫力が落ちてしまうため）、春から夏にかけては、お天気が良いと出かける気がなくなります（笑）。そうは言っても雨の日に出かけるのも気分が滅入りますが。
今日はとても良い天気だったので、朝からケージの丸洗いに、ふたりは交互に日光浴（現在、タラがメガバク治療中のためイクラには近づけないようにしています）。
ここ最近イクラが急に、「タラ、臭いっ！」と言うようになりました。このセリフ、イクラの前で言ったことないと思うのですが…。
そんなことを言われているタラはといえば、ずいぶん飛べるようになり、なんとペレットも食べ始めました。我が家の食事はシードがメインですが、ペレットもあげるようにしています。
明日はお天気下り坂ということで、私にとってはお出かけ日和。ふたりの生活環境向上のため、買い物に出かけます！

Make a space for Ikura and Tara / スペース作り

Tara still needs to stay away from Ikura until we make sure he removes AGY (so-called megabacteria) completely.
Well, the vet says the rate of recurrence will be about 1%, because he was just a carrier.
Anyway, I'm going to take both of Tara and Ikura for check up in three weeks.
Well, once everything is fine, I have to share my room with Ikura and Tara...
I was tidying up my room to make a space for them today. Hmm... I still need time. Guess what, I made six bin bags!
Erm... I also want a table to put their cages.
While I kept myself busy, Ikura enjoyed singing and Tara enjoyed playing.
Ikura gets annoyed with moulting, but so far he is doing well. As for Tara, he is getting adventurous these days and loves playing with some toys.
Okay, I'll keep working tomorrow too!

 タラはまだメガバク治療中のため、別のお部屋で過ごしていますが、あと３週間すれば検診です。タラの場合、発症していたわけではないので、再発率はだいたい１％くらい。それでも、何があるかわからないので、しっかり対応したいと思います。
タラがイクラと同時放鳥ＯＫになったら、私は自分の部屋をイクラとタラとシェアすることになります。
そんなわけで、この連休中、必死に部屋を片付けてスペース作りをしています。
本日、マンションの資源保管室まで一生懸命ゴミを運ぶこと３往復…。まだ終わっていません。
必死に掃除している間、イクラはリビングで楽しそうに歌って過ごし、タラは和室で暴れていました。最近、ますますやんちゃ坊主になって、おもちゃで楽しそうに遊んでいます。
連休も明日が最終日。朝から頑張って片づけを終わらせます！
