Good bye to the tail feathers! / 尾羽が抜けた。

Ikura lost first two tail feathers on the same day. Once moulting starts, I'm always wondering how long it will take.
If I remember correctly, Ikura started moulting already last December. I know he first experienced the first moulting to become an adult and then the usual one came, but don't you think it's too long?!
Fortunately he is doing well and his weight is stable.
Well, I think Ikura can communicate with Namihei, my old budgie, who passed away last August. Now he enjoys diving into something. He went in my lunch bag... I've heard that male budgies tend not to do such things. So that's why I think he has learned it from Namihei!

 イクラ、尾羽が２枚抜けました。しかも同日に２枚です。
換羽が始まると、いったいいつ終わるのかといつも不思議に思ってます。
たしか、イクラの換羽が始まったのは昨年の１２月。もちろん、最初はヒナ換羽だったとはいえ、やはり長すぎやしませんかね。
ただ、イクラが普段通り元気に過ごし、体重も安定しているので、安心しています。
ところで、イクラは波平とコミュニケーションができるのではないか…と最近思うようになりました。波平はご存知の通り、ガン闘病後、昨年8月に亡くなったインコです。
イクラが、潜るのを楽しむようになったんです。セキセイ男子は狭いところの潜ったりしないと聞いたことがあるので、やっぱりなみちゃんからこの遊びを教わったのかな、と思いました。
