Powerful bugie, Ikura / パワフルインコ、イクラ

Ikura is still annoyed with moulting and I can see many new feathers are ready to come.
Although he has not finished moulting yet, I find him doing well and his flying skill is improving.
A couple of days ago when we were in the living room, he got back to my room on his own and guess what, he was waiting for me in his cage!
Well, that flying style was exactly the same as Namihei's one. I loved seeing his beautiful turn to get into the room.
On the other hand, I also have to keep an eye on him while he is out of his cage, because now he can go anywhere without any problem.
Actually he went on the top of the fridge in the morning and I kept calling him hysterically. No worries, he came to me, but yes, I really have to be careful from now on.

イクラ、引き続き絶賛換羽中です。顔周りはツクツクでいっぱい、尾羽のところにはストロー状のたくさんの新しい羽が出てくるのを待っている状態です。
こんな状況ですが、ありがたいことにイクラは元気にしています。そして、飛行能力もずいぶんアップしました。
先日、リビングにいたときのこと。なんとイクラが自分で飛んで私の部屋に戻っていったんです。そして、ちゃんとケージに入って私を待っているではありませんか！
この飛行スタイルはまさしく、波平そのものです。部屋に入るために美しいターンを決める姿にほれぼれしました。
でも、飛行能力がアップしたということは、放鳥時間はしっかりイクラに目を向けていなければいけない、ということですね。今じゃ難なくどこにでも飛んで行けるということなんですから。
事実、今朝リビングにいた時に、冷蔵庫の上に飛んで行ってしまって、パニック状態でイクラの名前を呼び続けてしまいました。幸い、ちゃんと私のところに戻ってきてくれたのですが、本当に気をつけないといけませんね。
