You're under arrest! / 波平、現行犯逮捕。

Namihei has behaved badly these days and she does whatever she wants. Well, it's time to teach her a lesson, I suppose. She was enjoyed invading my bookshelf though I told her not to play there again and again. So I grabbed Namihei! She doesn't like to be grabbed, so I only do it when I have to give her medicine or cut her nails.
She didn't try to escape, but kept moaning. It was your fault though, Namihei. Yes, you're under arrest!

このところ波平はお行儀が悪く、やりたい放題といった感じです。そんなわけで、そろそろ叱らなければいけない時期にきたかな、と思ったわけです。本棚で遊んじゃダメと何度も言っているのに、本棚侵入ゲームを楽しんでいるなみちゃん。なので、なみちゃんを掴みました！
なみちゃんは掴まれるのがキライなので、お薬をあげるときや、爪を切らなければいけない時にしか掴みません。
逃げようとはしませんでしたが、低い声でずっとうなっていました。でも、これ自業自得ですよ。なみちゃん、現行犯逮捕です！

Miss Moody / ご機嫌ななめちゃん

Recently Namihei is quite aggressive and poor my hands... they're always her victims. Well, I noticed that her cere has turned brown. Yes, she is a girl budgie, and finally she is growing up? And this is why she is so moody?
Anyway, now I have to be careful, because I don't want her to lay eggs. She hasn't got a partner, so I don't want her to consume lots of energy for that.
It's also getting cold here in Tokyo too. When she is out of her cage, she sometimes keeps sneezing. (Her water always comes to my face!) Now Namihei needs lots of care, I suppose.

この頃、波平はかなり暴力的で、かわいそうな私の両手はなみちゃんの餌食に。なみちゃんのろう膜が、茶色くなってきているんです。なみちゃんもこれでようやく大人女子、というわけですが、この発情のせいで機嫌が悪いのでしょうか？
いずれにしても、卵は産んで欲しくないので、気をつけなければいけませんね。なみちゃんは一羽飼いで、パートナーはいないので、発情することで無駄に体力を消耗して欲しくないんです。
それから、東京も最近ぐっと冷え込んできました。なみちゃんも放鳥時は、よくくしゃみを連発してます。そして鼻水は必ず私の顔面に直撃するんです。さあ、今はしっかりなみちゃんのお世話をしなければいけませんね！

Where is the food? / 食べ物はどこ？

I feed Namihei twice a day, in the morning and evening so that she shouldn't eat all of the seeds in the morning. Since I'm super busy at work, I have asked my mum to feed her in the evening these days.
Well, I was able to come back early enough yesterday and checked her meal box. I was shocked... why? Because it was nearly empty! Even she has eaten all of the seeds, their shells must be there. Hmm... I don't know what happened, but she scattered them around her cage!
Namihei, do you know how many times I hoover everywhere you made a mess?! Please behave like a proper lady!

なみちゃんのご飯は１日２回、朝晩に分けてあげています。こうすれば、午前中に１日分ぜんぶ平らげてしまって、夜はひもじい思いをする、なんてことはないですからね。
最近は仕事が忙しく、夜のご飯は母親に任せているのですが、昨日は久々に早く帰宅できたので、さっそくなみちゃんのえさ箱チェック。そして絶句…。なんと、えさ箱がほぼ空だったんです。全部食べてたとしても、シードの殻が残っているはずなのに。何が起こったのかわかりませんが、ケージの周りに、なみちゃんがまき散らしたと思われるシードの残骸が…。
なみちゃんのために、１日何回私が掃除機かけてるか、知ってますか？！なみちゃん、少しは女の子らしく振る舞ってくださいね！

Don't move! / 動かないで！

These days it's not easy to take photos of Namihei. Why? Because she comes over to me once she sees me with my camera. Well, I can't get angry with her though. She looks very happy to see me and dashes to me in a happy way. Sometimes she wants to stay on my shoulder.
Actually, such things happen when I clean up her cage. She wants to stick to me and hangs around the cage.
Well, when she is obsessed with the bookshelf in my room, that's another story though. Once she is into it, she is trying to break in and she doesn't care where I am! I do my best to protect my precious bookshelf from her, but so far she is quite successful to sneak inside it!

この頃、波平の写真を撮るのがちょっと難しくなってきました。というのも、カメラと私を見るなり、なみちゃんがこっちに来てしまうんです。しかも、うれしそうにトコトコ寄って来られたら、怒れませんよねぇ。
さらに、肩にちょこんと乗ってくるときもあるんですよ。
こういうこと、じつは写真を撮る時以外にもあるんです。なみちゃんのケージを掃除しようとすると、なみちゃんが私からくっついて離れなかったり、ケージ付近をうろうろしてみたり。ところが、部屋にある本棚に気をとられた時は、話は別です。本棚が気になってしまったら最後、もう中に入ることに必死になってしまって、私がどこにいようがお構いなし。大切な本棚をなみちゃんから守る努力はしているものの、なみちゃんのほうが一枚上手なのか、いつもこっそり入ってしまうんですよね。

A Peaceful Day / 平穏な１日

Yesterday it was a national holiday in Japan and I stayed at home all day, because I was so exhausted! Sometimes it's important to have a lazy day, I suppose.
Since the weather was lovely, Namihei and I stayed near the balcony so that we could enjoy the sunshine. She was taking a nap and I was reading a novel. I occasionally called her and then she responded to my calling.
I think she feels safe and comfortable when she finds me around her. When I leave for the loo or somewhere else, sometimes she starts calling me hysterically. So I know she trusts me enough, but she never stops attacking my hands. What have they done to her?!

昨日は成人の日で祝日でしたね。私は先週の仕事でヘトヘトだったので、１日中家で過ごしました。たまにはぐうたらで過ごす休日がないと、体がもちません。
お天気は良かったので、私と波平はベランダ近くを陣取り、日向ぼっこです。なみちゃんは居眠り、私は読書して過ごしました。たまになみちゃんのことを呼ぶと、「ヒヨ」ってかわいらしい声で反応するんですよ。
私が近くにいると、なみちゃんは安心するんだなって思います。トイレやどこか別の場所に行くためにそばを離れたとたん、狂ったように呼び鳴きを始めることがあります。だから、なみちゃんは私のことをとっても信頼しているはずなのですが、手への攻撃が止むことはありません！私の手に何か恨みでもあるんですかね、なみちゃん…。

Let me out! / 外に出たい！

Do you keep budgies? If you do, I have a question. How long do you let your budgies out every day?
Well, I usually let Namihei out in the morning and evening. On weekends, an hour in the morning and two hours in the evening. On weekdays, it depends on when I can get back to home, but it's usually half an hour in the morning and an hour or two hours in the evening.
I don't think it's enough for her, as she usually has to stay alone at home in the daytime, but I'm doing my best!
When she can't wait, she usually does this upside-down pose and tries to attract me. When I don't notice it, she even calls me... Be patient, please, Namihei!

インコを飼っていらっしゃる方、普段１日どのくらい放鳥させていますか？
波平の場合、週末は朝１時間、夜２時間といった具合です。平日は私の仕事次第ですが、だいたいは朝30分、夜１時間から２時間といったところでしょうか。
なみちゃんは普段、日中はひとりでお留守番することになるので、これじゃ足りないよね、と思ってはいるものの、なかなか時間の確保が難しい状況です。
外に出してほしい、もう待てない！というときのウルトラ技、この逆さまポーズです。これで私の気を引こうとするんですよね。そして、気づいてないとわかると、「ピヨ」って鳴いて呼ぶんですよ…。ごめん、もうちょっと待ってね、なみちゃん！

Where's Namihei? / 波平を探せ！

I know it's Namihei blog, but let me tell you... I'm so exhausted from overtime work. Namihei goes to bed at 9:00 in the night and I was still working on that time last night! Yes, I missed my precious time with my lovely budgie, Namihei last night. Yet I'm writing this post with letting her waiting in her cage. Why? Because I'm sure she will attack my hands if I work on my laptop!
Well, I've started using Instagram to show Namihei photos since last July and it seems that she is getting popular there. I've found her on the top posts in "budgie" category. Where's Namihei? Can you find her there?
It's three-day weekend here in Japan, so I'll spend lots of time with her! Now she is calling me and can't wait anymore, so I should stop writing...

ここは波平ブログなので、なみちゃんのことを書く場所だってことはわかっているのですが、言わせてください。飼い主は残業でヘトヘトです。なみちゃんが寝るのは夜9時。その時間、昨日はまだ働いてました…。というわけで、昨日は大切ななみちゃんの放鳥時間を逃しました。それでも、今はなみちゃんを待たせながらこの記事を書いています。だって、パソコンを使ってたら、絶対なみちゃんの攻撃にあいますからね！
ところで、なみちゃんの写真を載せようと、インスタグラムを始めたのが昨年７月。順調になみちゃんは人気モノになっているようです。"Budgie" (インコ) カテゴリーで、なみちゃんが Top Posts (人気投稿) にいるんですよ。というわけで、なみちゃんを探せ！どこにいるか、わかりますか？
日本は３連休ですね。連休中はなるべくなみちゃんと一緒にいられるようにします。後ろでものすごい勢いで呼ばれているので、そろそろ出してあげなくては！
