Punishment / お仕置き

Namihei is so mean! Last night she suddenly started chasing my hands and biting them seriously without reasons. I told her to stop it, but she didn't listen to me. Well, it was a matter of life and death for me. So I finally fought back. I also started to try to catch her. And then I let her back to her cage and stay inside for three minutes. She pleaded for mercy, so I let her out again. Hmm... at first she was nice, but she started attacking me! Hang on... it may be my fault. She started attacking me when I used my laptop. Does it mean she wanted me to pay attention to her? Did she want me to concentrate on her while she was out? If so, I must apologise her, but then I wanted her to attack my laptop instead!

波平、いじわるインコです。昨晩、突然私の手を追いかけ始め、理由もなく本気噛みしてきたんです。やめてと言ってもやめないし、これってホントに重大事と思い、私もとうとう反撃に出ることに。私もなみちゃんを追いかけて、両手で捕まえようとして、最後にはケージに戻し、３分間の反省タイム。許してサインが見えたので、再び外に出すと、最初は反省モードだったのに、また同じことの繰り返し。でも、ちょっと待って…。攻撃が始まったのは、ちょうど私がパソコンを使い始めたときのこと。もしかして、なみちゃんは注意を引きたかったのでしょうか。放鳥時は自分に集中してほしいということでしょうか。そうであれば、謝らなくてはいけませんね。でも、攻撃するならパソコンの方にしてほしかったんですけど。

Let's have a laugh together! / いっしょに笑おう

I still keep a good relationship with Namihei and I can't believe that she is so attached to me. Last night I stayed in the living room after having supper, because I was attracted by an interesting TV programme. So Namihei also stayed in the living room with me.
Yes, she kept hanging around me and we played together. When I made a laughter sound, she mimicked it. Then we both started laughing together and it was really amazing! When she was playing on the table, I called her. She stopped what she was doing and came to me immediately. I hope we can have a laugh together today as well!

私と波平、まだ良好な関係が続いています。こんなにも懐くなんて、ちょっと信じられませんが（笑）。
昨晩は夕飯後、おもしろいテレビ番組がやっていたのでそのままリビングに残りました。そんなわけで、なみちゃんもリビングにて放鳥。自由の身となったなみちゃんですが、私から離れることなく、一緒に遊んでいました。私が笑い声を聞かせると、なみちゃんもそれをマネして笑おうとするんです。だから、一緒に笑い始め、本当に楽しい時間を過ごしました。なみちゃんがテーブルの上で遊んでいる時、「なみちゃん」と呼んでみたんです。すぐにちゃんと私のところに来ました！今日も一緒に笑えるといいな、と思ってます。

In Love with Namihei / 波平との関係

Did something happen to Namihei? She was so attached to me yesterday too. She always wanted to hang around me!
Well, once she heard the sound of a door opening when I came home, she started calling me from the living room. Then when she saw me, she started moving backward and forward on a perch.
She usually likes staying in the living room, but last night she was different. After I left her in the living room, I called her from my room. Then she came to me though she didn't know from where I was calling her! That was really amazing. Then she came with me every time I went to my room from the living room. Has she finally recognised who is a boss?!

波平に何かあったんでしょうか。じつは、昨日も私によく懐いていたんです。どこへ行くのも一緒、と言う感じでした。
まず、帰宅時のこと。ドアが開く音を聞いた瞬間、リビングにいるなみちゃんが呼び鳴きを始めたんです。そして私の姿を確認するなり、止まり木を行ったり来たり。
なみちゃんはリビングで遊ぶのが好きなのですが、昨日は何かが違いました。
なみちゃんをリビングに残し、先に部屋に戻り、部屋からなみちゃんを呼んだら、私のところに飛んできたんです。どこから呼んでるか、見えてなかったのに！その後は、リビングに行っても、私から離れることはありませんでした。とうとう自分の立場がわかったんでしょうかね。飼い主は私ですよ、なみちゃん！

Wherever You Go / どこへ行っても…

Namihei was so sweet yesterday. She was like saying "wherever you go, I'll always follow you". Perhaps she missed me a lot on Sunday night, because I wasn't at home (I was working!).
When I left her in my room, she started calling me and even tried to look for me. She usually plays alone, but yesterday she stuck with me and looked up into my face. Her eyes were so innocent and I was enchanted by her completely. Well, she bit me several times as usual, but I was very happy to spend some time with her. She is indeed an adorable budgie and I really hope I can come back home from work early enough to play with her today!

昨日の波平は、とってもキュートだったんですよ。「あなたがどこに行っても、私は必ずついて行くわ」、なんて言っているようだったんです。たぶん、寂しかったんでしょうねぇ。日曜日の夜は私は仕事で家にいなかったので。
なみちゃんをひとり部屋に残したとたん、呼び鳴きが始まって、私を探し始めるんです。いつもひとり遊びが好きなのに、昨日は私にくっついて離れず、顔をのぞきこむように見上げてくるわけですよ。そんな無邪気な瞳にコロっとやられました（笑）。
いつものようにカミカミ攻撃はあったものの、なみちゃんと一緒に時間を過ごせて幸せでした。なみちゃんは、本当にかわいいインコ。今日もなみちゃんと一緒に遊べるように、仕事から早く帰ってこられるといいのですが。

A Proof of Bully / 暴れん坊インコ、波平

I usually post a new entry in the morning, but I don't think I can make it tomorrow morning. Why? Because I have to go to work tonight to work with colleagues in the US and then will be back around 3:00 in the morning. And then I have to start working at 8:00 in the morning on Monday. I had an option to stay in a hotel near the office, but I've decided to come home for my lovely budgie, Namihei. Well, she doesn't appreciate my effort though. Look at the picture! I've got a proof of a brutal budgie! This happens every single day and I have no idea how I should tame her. Anyway, don't worry, I don't punish her. I usually make a threatening noise, though it doesn't work at all.

 ブログはいつも、朝アップするようにしているのですが、明日はアップする自信がないので、今書いています。というのも、今夜は仕事なんです。アメリカのオフィスの人たちと一緒にやる作業があるため、家に戻れるのはおそらく夜中３時頃。そして翌日はまた朝８時スタート。職場近くのホテルに泊まるという選択肢もありましたが、かわいい波平のために家に戻ることを決意しました。でも、なみちゃんはこんな私の気持ちをまったく理解していないようです。押えましたよ、証拠写真！なみちゃんが、私の手を噛んでいるところです！毎日のように噛まれますが、どうやって噛み癖を直していいのか全くわからず。でも、お仕置きなんてしていないのでご安心を。いつも、威嚇するように鳴きマネをしてみますが、まったく効果なし…。

Chasing and Chewing / 追いかけてガブリ

Namihei is sometimes very dangerous. She becomes aggressive suddenly and starts chasing my hands. Then, of course, she attacks me! She gnaws my hands without reasons.
It's very painful, so I'll get angry with her in the end. I usually leave her alone or ignore her for a while. Then she notices that I'm in a bad mood. She starts tweets sweetly and tries to attract me. We will become friends again, but she often forgets what she has done quickly! History repeats itself like this.

波平はたまに危険なんです。突然、凶暴になって私の手を追い始めるんですよ。もちろん、目的は攻撃することなので、特に理由もないのに噛みまくります。
これ、とっても痛いので、私だってキレるわけですよ。たいていは、なみちゃんをひとり残して部屋を出るか、無視するようにしています。そうすると、なみちゃんでも気づくんですね、私の機嫌が悪くなってるということが。そして、甘えて鳴き始め、私の気を引こうとするわけです。仲直りはするのですが、なみちゃんはすぐに何が起こったか忘れちゃうんですよね…。こうして歴史は繰り返されるわけです（笑）。

Happy New Year! / あけましておめでとうございます

Happy New Year! It's 2016 now.
I'm going to take photos of the sunrise after posting this entry. Well, I feel that this year is going to be a great one!
As for Namihei, she also woke up early today and already kept making a noise. Erm... should I say "singing"?
I thought she would want to take a bath last night to welcome a new year, but she didn't. Actually she sneezed a low and her water came to my face! I hope she will keep her good health this year.
Thank you very much for visiting Namihei blog this year too! I'll take lots of photos of her and try to write better stories here.

あけましておめでとうございます。2016年を迎えましたね。私はこれから初日の出撮影に出かけてきます。今年はなんだか良い１年になる気がするんですよね。
波平はといえば、今朝は早く目が覚めたようで、すでにうるさくしています。いや、さえずっていると言ったほうがいいのでしょうか（笑）。
なみちゃん、新年を迎えるために、大晦日の夜は水浴びすると思っていたのですが、しませんでした。むしろ、くしゃみ連発、私の顔になみちゃんの鼻水が飛んでくる始末。今年はちゃんと健康を維持してほしいものです。
今年も波平ブログを訪れてくださってありがとうございます。これからもたくさん、なみちゃんの写真を撮り、楽しい記事をお届けできるよう頑張りますので、よろしくお願いします。
