I know where to go. / 波平の行く場所

Namihei always knows how to express her feeling somehow. Well, I'm happy to see her when she looks happy or is in a good mood. But I tend to notice when she is in a bad mood, unfortunately. Yes, I can tell when she is angry!
When she wants to tell me "leave me alone", she goes to the top of the air conditioner in my room. This is because she knows I cannot reach her there. It's a bit funny though. She still stares at me from there, so I think she wants to check what I am doing. Of course, she comes back when I start preparing her meal. That's why she can't ignore me completely!

波平は自分の気持ちの伝え方をちゃんとわかっています。なみちゃんが幸せそうにしていたり、機嫌が良いと、私も幸せです。でも、だいたい気づいてしまうのが、なみちゃんがご機嫌ななめのときなんですよね。すごく怒ってるのがよくわかるんですよ！
もう、放っておいて、と言いたい場合には、部屋にあるエアコンの上に行くことが多いです。ここだったら、私でも届かないということをわかっているんでしょうね。でも、ちょっと笑えるのが、上から私のことをじっと見てるんですよ。たぶん、私が何をしているのかチェックしてるんです。そして、なみちゃんのごはんを準備し始めれば、もちろん戻ってきますよ。だから私のことを完全ムシできないんですよね！

No more fat! / 太っちゃだめ。

I've been told that I'll gain weight if I keep the same diet regardless getting old. Why? Because our metabolism will decrease in step with ageing.
Well, but my appetite is quite stable and this is why I cannot lose weight!
Namihei seems to have the same problem with me. I always feed her with the same amount of seeds and pellets. But these days she has gained weight. How does it happen?! Do I have to let her do more exercises?! She loves eating a lot and I'm not sure what I should do. We both need to think of losing weight!

年齢があがっていくにも関わらず、若いころと同じ食習慣を続けていると、太ってしまう、と言われたことがあります。これは、歳とともに代謝が落ちてしまうからだそうです。でも、食欲は安定しているので、いつまでたっても痩せないわけです。
波平もまた、同じ問題を抱えているようです。いつも決まった量のシードとペレットをあげているのですが、最近どんどん太っていくんですよね。なんで太るんでしょうか？もっとなみちゃんに運動してもらったほうがいいのでしょうか？なみちゃんは食べるのが大好きなので、どうしたらいいのかわかりません。私たちふたりとも、痩せることを考えなくちゃいけないんですけどね！

No more photos! / 撮っちゃだめ。

Recently Namihei doesn't want me to take photos of her. At first I thought she was afraid of my Nikon camera, but it seems not. She even says "NO" when I try to take a photo with iPhone.
When I try to take a photo, she usually comes to me. Well, I don't think she suddenly becomes camera shy though.
Does she want to charge me on her photos? Or she wants to become a photographer, instead of a model?!
Anyway, I should let her concentrate on what she is doing first. Then she won't mind me taking photos of her!

最近、波平が写真を撮らせてくれません。最初は、一眼カメラが大きくて怖いのかなと思ったのですが（今さらですけど）、どうやら違うようです。iPhoneで写真を撮ろうとしても、やっぱり嫌がるんですよね。
写真を撮ろうとすると、たいてい私の肩に飛んできます。でも、まさか急にカメラ嫌いになったわけでもあるまいし。タダじゃ写真は撮らせないという魂胆なのでしょうか？それとも、モデルじゃなくて、カメラマンになりたいのでしょうか？
とりあえず、まずはなみちゃんを何かに没頭させてから写真を撮るようにすれば、きっと気にしませんよね！

This is how Namihei spends her day / 波平の１日の過ごし方

I've put a slide show of Namihei in the yesterday's entry and today let me put a short film! Yes, it's moving. ha ha
I sometimes shoot video of Namihei with my iPhone and to be honest, it's difficult to shoot a good one. So I decided to put some of them together so that it may look better! What do you think? At least this video tells you how Namihei spends her day, I suppose.
Well, I must talk about Namihei too. I must say she is pretty smart. When she knows my mum is off and will stay at home, she ignores me and sticks to her! Yes, she knows which side she should take.
Anyway, please don't forget who is the boss!

昨日のブログ記事に即席の波平スライドショーを載せましたが、今回はショートフィルムということで、動画をアップしてみました。
iPhoneでたまに動画も撮るのですが、正直なところうまく撮れなくて、ボツ作品がかなりストックされています。そこで、そんなボツ作品も編集してまとめたら何とかなるんじゃないかと、また作ってみました。素晴らしい作品とは言えませんが、少なくとも波平の１日の様子をお伝えできるんじゃないかと思います。
さて、なみちゃんはといえば、かなり賢いんですよ。なみちゃん、母が仕事休みで家にいることがわかった途端、私のことはムシで、母にくっついて離れないんです。どうやら、どちら側につけばいいのか、ちゃんと場合分けができる様子。
でも、まあ誰が一番エライのかは、ちゃんと覚えておいてくださいよ！

Namihei's Day / 波平の１日

Yesterday I joined a workshop about video editing at photography school. Of course, it's because I want to make a short film about Namihei. Well, this time I just made a slide show and I'm so sorry, I only put captions in Japanese. So let me write down what I wrote in the video.
"Namihe's Day",  Namihei tries to find food after seeing me off. She doesn't forget cleaning a window. She peeps out the window and waits for me at home. She gets bored and decides to go out. Well, she doesn't know where to go. Finally it's time for dinner. Have a good night!

昨日は通っている写真教室で行われた、動画編集のワークショップに参加してきました。普段動画なんて撮りませんが、波平のショートフィルムを作りたいという野望がありまして（笑）。今回即席で作ったのは、写真をつないだだけのスライドショーですが、こちらでご紹介させてくださいね。
iPhoneでいろんなことができるようですが、iPhoneで写真や動画を撮るのは苦手です。そうはいっても、波平の動画はいくつか撮っているので、こちらをつなぎ合わせて編集してみたいと思います。
このスライドショーを作るのに必死で、昨晩はなみちゃんのことをほったらかしてしまったので、ちゃんと謝っておきます！

Yesterday I was tagged by one of my followers to do "10 facts". It seems that I need to think of 10 facts about me, so I'll write down 10 facts about me and Namihei!
I was thinking of the facts about Namihei. Well, it was our destiny to meet each other, as she was taken to the shop where I met her by mistake. I wanted a blue budgie, but I chose her in the end (I even didn't notice her presence at first!) Of course, I'm very happy with Namihei now. That's the solid fact!

インスタグラムは活用していますか？私は毎日インスタグラムで波平写真を公開しています。なみちゃん、結構人気インコなんですよ。
昨日、フォロワーの方に「10の事実」を書きだすミッションを託されたのですが、どうやら自分についての10の事実を書けばいいようです。そんなわけで、私となみちゃんにまつわる10の事実でも書こうかと思ってますよ。
そして、なみちゃんの事実を考え始めたわけですが、私たちの出会いは運命だったんですよね。なみちゃんがいたお店のスタッフに、なみちゃんは間違えて仕入れてきてしまったインコだと言われたんです。しかも、私が欲しいと思っていたのはブルーのインコ。最終的にはなみちゃんをお迎えしたんですけど、最初はなみちゃんの存在にすら気づいていませんでした（笑）。今、ゆるぎない事実として言えること。それは、なみちゃんと一緒にいられて幸せだということです。

How to tame Namihei / 波平の取り扱い方法

Namihei is a difficult budgie. When I call her, she will come to me only if she is in a good mood. When I put my hand close to her, she usually escapes.
Then if I pretend to ignore her, she will notice something wrong and comes to me!
So, it seems that she doesn't want to be chased. Should I be patient to wait until she comes to me? Do I have to butter her up always? I'm still not sure how to win her trust.
At least she accepts me to live together, I believe. So let's wait for a bit to see how she treats me.

波平は気難し屋のインコです。機嫌が良ければ、呼びかけに応えて私のところにやってきます。手を近づけると、たいていは逃げられます。
でも、なみちゃんのことを無視しているように装うと、何かがおかしいと気づくのか、私のところに来てくれます。
ということは、なみちゃんはグイグイと追いかけられるのが嫌なタイプでしょうか。なみちゃんが来てくれるまで、私はただ耐えれば良いのでしょうか？いつもなみちゃんのご機嫌を取っていればいいのでしょうか？なみちゃんの信頼を得るにはどうしたらいいのか、いまだよくわかりません。
ただ、なみちゃんにとって私は一緒に暮らしてもいいよと思われている存在であることは間違いないはずです。だから、なみちゃんが私をどうあしらうのか、もう少し長い目で見てみたいと思います。
