Dried shredded squid / するめ

A workmate of mine gave me some dried shredded squid and I was chewing it at work. Some of my workmates complained about the smell! No worries, it wasn't serious and we always have a laugh together.
When I came back home and played together with Namihei, I also chewed some dried shredded squid. And then I took a breath out toward Namihei. It must be so stink and she looked so angry. Well, she even tried to attack my face! Sorry about that. I won't do it again!

同僚が、オススメのするめをくれました。それを早速職場で食べ始める私に、同僚たちが「臭い」と苦笑い。大丈夫ですよ、本気で怒ってませんから。こうやっていつも話題提供してるんです（笑）。
家に帰って、波平と部屋で遊んでいるときも、するめを食べ始めた私。そして、なみちゃんに向かって息を吹きかけてみました。臭かったんでしょうねぇ。ものすごく怒り顔で、私の顔に襲いかかってくる勢いでしたから。
ごめんね、なみちゃん。もうしません！

Eat Well, Live Well, Namihei / よく食べ、よく遊ぶ。

These days I've kept myself busy and felt so tired. Well, I didn't have enough time with Namihei last week, so I decided to stay at home on Sunday. Actually I wanted to stay at home, because I was so exhausted. The weather was so lovely, so Namihei did enjoy staying outside for a while.
I know she doesn't like pellets so much, but I found she enjoyed eating them at evening. She took time to finish the meal and looked very satisfied.
Recently she doesn't want me to take photos of her and when I try to take a photo of her, she tends to come to me or my shoulder. Since when she has become camera-shy?!

最近ちょっと忙しくしていて、私自身お疲れ気味です。先週はあまり波平と遊んであげられなかったので、日曜日は家にいようと決めました。私も疲れていたので、もう出かけたくなかったんですよね。お天気は良かったので、なみちゃんは外でしばらく日光浴もできました。
なみちゃん、ペレットはあまり好きではないことはわかってるのですが、夜はものすごく味わって食べてたんですよ！かなり時間をかけてゆっくり。そして、満面の満足顔（笑）。
このところ、写真を撮らせてくれないんですよね。撮ろうとすると、すぐ私のところに飛んできて、肩にとまってしまったり。いったいいつからカメラ嫌いになったんでしょうか？！

Shall we play together? / 一緒に遊びませんか。

In the morning I didn't have enough time to play with Namihei. When I was leaving home, she looked so sad and was trying to get my attention.
I felt guilty, but left home in the end.
I'm wondering how she spent a day on her own at home.
When I came back, she looked so happy and kept calling me.
Well, we did play together, as she wanted to come to my shoulder a lot. When she plays outside enough and feels satisfied, she always goes back to her cage on her own. Yes, she did it tonight, so I'm sure she enjoyed playing with me!

今朝もあまり時間がなく、波平とじっくり向き合うことができませんでした。家を出る際、なみちゃんがとっても悲しそうに見えて、しかも一生懸命私の注意を引こうとしている姿を見て、なんだか心が痛みました。
なみちゃん、今日はどんな風に１日を過ごしたのでしょうか。
帰宅すると、とってもうれしそうに呼び鳴きが始まりました。もちろんすぐに一緒に遊びましたよ。やたらと肩にとまりたがるなみちゃんでした。
外で十分に遊んで満足すれば、ちゃんと自分でケージに戻って行きます。今日はそんな１日でした。なみちゃん、一緒に遊べて良かったですね。

Namihei wants to play more. / 波平、もっと遊びたい。

I like making rules and organising things in order to my own rules.
Well, in the morning when Namihei comes out of her cage, I put her on the scale and check her weight. Then I give her breakfast.
This morning she dashed to the bookshelf once she came out. She refused to check her weight and even skipped her breakfast. In the end, I checked her weight and she had breakfast though.
I know she wants to play more, but we usually don't have enough time on weekdays. So I wanted to come back early tonight, but failed. When she heard me opening the entrance door, she started shouting. It was already time to go to bed, but I let her play outside for 5 minutes. I know it wasn't enough, but hope she will sleep well!

私、ルールを作って、それに従って物事を進めるのが好きです。
朝は、波平がケージから出たら、まずスケールに乗せて体重チェック、それから朝ごはんとしてシードを少しあげています。
今朝は、そのルールが破られ、ケージから出た途端、体重チェックも朝ごはんもスキップして、本棚にダッシュされました。もちろん、最終的には体重もチェックし、なみちゃんは朝ごはんも食べましたが。
なみちゃん、もっと外で遊びたいのはわかっています。でも平日の朝なんて、十分時間が取れないんですよね。だからこそ、今日は早く帰ってきたかったのですが、残業でなみちゃんの寝る時間ギリギリに。玄関を開けると、なみちゃんが叫ぶように鳴きながらお迎えしてくれました。寝る前に５分だけ、放鳥したのですが、これで満足して、今夜もしっかり眠ってくれることを祈るばかりです。

Happy Birthday to me! / 今日は私のたんじょうび。

It was my birthday today! I went out with some classmates at photography school and then got a haircut. I didn't do anything special, but it was a lovely day. As for Namihei, I didn't have enough time to play with her, so I'll try to have lots of time with her over the weekend.
Recently I bought a rangefinder camera from the USSR. I took the first photo with this camera. Hmm... I still need to practise to take photos in doors. Or I need Namihei to act like a proper model. ha ha

今日は私の誕生日でした。日中は写真仲間と出かけ、そのあとは美容院へ。特別なことをしたわけではないけれど、良い１日でした。波平はといえば、今日は一緒に遊ぶ時間が十分にとれず、申し訳ない感じに。週末はなるべく一緒にいる時間を作ります！
最近、旧ソ連製のレンジファインダーカメラを購入したのですが、そのカメラでなみちゃんを撮ってみました。最初の写真がそれです。屋内で撮るのはまだ練習が必要ですね。というか、なみちゃんがプロのモデルさん並みに活躍してくれればいいんですけど！

Namihei wants to play with me. / 一緒に遊びたい。

Namihei welcomed me again when I came back home. It's very nice to have a response when I call her.
After supper Namihei usually plays alone in my room, but today we did play together. If I let her play alone, she goes to the bookshelf and starts biting my precious books! I've already found many damaged books...
How do we play together? We can play hide-and-seek. It's quite funny to see her face when she finds my hiding somewhere. Anyway, she went back to her cage without arguing, so I'm sure she enjoyed playing with me!

波平、今日もちゃんと熱烈歓迎で迎えてくれました（笑）。仕事から戻ってきて、「なみちゃーん」と玄関で呼ぶと、リビングから元気よく反応があると、やっぱりうれしいものですね。
夕食後、ひとり遊びの多いなみちゃんですが、今日は一緒に遊びました。というのも、好き勝手させると、本棚に行って本をかじっちゃうんです。すでに犠牲になった本たちが結構あります。
ところで、どうやって一緒に遊ぶのかというと、かくれんぼですよ。隠れている私を見つけたときの波平の顔が、かなりおもしろいんです！とりあえず、今日も満足してケージに戻っていきました。きっと、十分楽しく遊べた証拠ですね。

Halloween / ハロウィン

Halloween. Did you do anything particular on Halloween? As for me, I didn't do anything. I was talking about joining a Halloween parade with a workmate, but I caught a cold and didn't plan well with her.
Today Namihei was so cheerful and kept crying a lot. We did play hide-and-seek (she always finds me), and made lots of noise together.
I think this is a good idea to let her distract her from pulling her feathers. If she enjoys playing enough before going to bed, I'm sure she is tired in a good way and forgets about pulling her feathers.

ハロウィンですね。何かお祝いなどしましたか？私は特に何もしていません。職場の同僚とハロウィンのパレードに参加したいね、などと話してはいたものの、私はちょっと前に風邪を引いて、ちゃんと計画してなかったんですよね。
今日の波平は、元気いっぱいで、ずっと鳴きっぱなしでした。なみちゃんと一緒にかくれんぼしたり（なみちゃんがいつも見つける役です）、一緒に大声を出してみたり（笑）。
こういうことで、なみちゃんが羽を引っこ抜いてしまうことから気をそらせることができるんじゃないかと思うんです。寝る前にたくさん遊んで、心地よい疲れを感じれば、もう引っこ抜きのことなんて忘れちゃうと思うんですよね。
