I checked how Namihei was doing today over the phone and she was same as usual.
Finally she's having an operation tomorrow. Unfortunately she has to lose her upper beak, but she'll be able to survive and there is a chance for her to live a long time.
The operation will be performed after 17:00, Japan time and it will take an hour. It may be delayed due to her condition. The vet will call me once she awakes from anaesthesia. There is a risk during the operation and the anaesthesia itself can harm her in several days after the operation.
So it's very important for her to survive this week. I really hope everything will be alright and she can come home in a good condition.

今日の波平の様子は電話で確認しましたが、昨日と変わらずでした。体重も強制給餌のおかげで維持しています。
そして明日、いよいよ手術です。この手術でなみちゃんは上クチバシを失うことになりますが、これも生き残るため、そして長生きできるチャンスと考え、決断したものです。
手術は夕方５時以降にスタートし、１時間程度で終わるそうです。ただ、なみちゃんの状態によっては、手術開始時間に遅れが生じることもあるとのこと。手術が終わり、なみちゃんが麻酔から目を覚まし次第、先生が連絡をくれるそうです。
手術中はもちろん、術後数日も麻酔の影響などでリスクが伴うそうです。だから、今週はなみちゃんにとって本当に大切な時間となりますね。すべてうまくいき、なみちゃんが元気いっぱいに退院できるよう心から願っています。
