Moulting will be over. / 換羽が終わる。

It seems that Namihei will finish moulting finally.
I checked her droppings when I came back home. They looked normal and were not watery. Actually the amount of drinking water also gets back to normal this week.
Well, I've realised that it's important to check the amount of drinking water as well as droppings.
Once moulting is over, mating season usually comes, so I still have to be careful with it. I don't want her to lay eggs, because it consumes her energy a lot and she is expecting to have a surgery for the cancer.
At least, I can see her enormous appetite and this is the sign that she is doing well.

波平、とうとう換羽が終わりそうです。
今日仕事から帰宅してなみちゃんのフンの状態をチェックしたのですが、多尿ではなく、ほぼ通常通りに見えます。今週に入って、飲水量も通常通りに落ち着いていました。
やっぱりフンの状態だけでなく、飲水量のチェックもしておくことが大切だなと気づきました。
換羽が終わると、発情期に入るので、まだまだ気が抜けませんね。発情して卵ができてしまったら、ものすごいエネルギーを消費することになりますし、そもそもガン切除の手術が控えていますからね。
とりあえす、なみちゃんのものすごい食欲は相変わらずで、これが元気である証拠ですね。
