Namihei's droppings / 波平のフン

If you keep a budgie, it's always important to check his/her droppings. That's what I always do in the morning when I wake up Namihei, and in the evening when I let her play outside.
The droppings contain a white urine portion in the centre, and if this part becomes cream or yellow colour, it's the sign that something is wrong in the liver.
Yesterday and this morning it was a bit cream colour in her droppings. This might be because she is moulting still. You know, it requires a lot of energy and it makes the liver work harder.
I put the heater in her cage so that she doesn't need to use too much energy to warm herself. This works well and her droppings are getting normal again.

愛鳥さんのフンの状態チェック、とても大切ですよね。私も波平のフンは、朝晩しっかりケージの床をチェックして確認しています。
フンの中心にある白い部分が尿酸ですね。この部分がクリーム色や黄色になっていると、肝臓が悪いんじゃないかと疑うわけです。昨日から、波平の尿酸部分もちょっとクリーム色になっていました。しかも、フンの形もくずれています。
おそらく、換羽中なのでエネルギーがたくさん必要で、肝臓にも負担がかかっているんでしょうね。これ以上エネルギーを消耗してほしくないので、今日はペットヒーターを設置してみました。設置後は、フンの状態もだんだん良くなってきましたよ！保温は大切ですね。
