Ikura is having a moulting period now and I'm gathering her dropped feathers.
Well, I don't know what to do with them, but I'm sure most budgie keepers do this!
As you know, I cannot collect Namihei's one anymore, but I do keep hers in four jars.
By the way, I think Ikura is just about to enter the rebellious phase. Is it too fast? This morning she refused to check her weight. She usually comes to a stand perch on the scale and this is how I check her weight. I did try three times and she didn't let me do it. In the end I managed it though. I must think of something for it!

イクラ、ただいま絶賛換羽中のため、私は羽根拾いに熱中しています。集めた羽根で何をするわけでもないのですが、ついつい集めてしまうインコ飼いさんは多いのではないでしょうか。
ご存知のとおり、すでに旅立ってしまった波平の羽根はもう集めることはできませんが、ちゃんと４つの瓶に入れて今でも保管しています。
ところで、どうやらイクラが反抗期にさしかかったのではないかと思っています。生後まだ３ヵ月も経っていないので、はやすぎでしょうか？
今朝、初めて体重測定を拒否されました。いつもスケールの上のスタンドパーチにおとなしく乗ってくれるのですが、今朝は３回も飛び去って行きました。最終的にはなんとか測定できましたが、そろそろ反抗期対策を考える必要がありそうですね。
