That's what the vet told me and I got lost for words.
After a long silence he just said "never mind".
Why did he say such thing? Well, the wound gets better now, but the problem is nosebleeds. Since Namihei keeps picking her nose a lot, it causes a nosebleed, and it causes another problem. So if she always has to stand on both legs and they are always busy, she has no chance to pick up her nose!
He was also thinking about letting her wear a cone, but he knows she doesn't like it and she won't eat. So he just changed medicine and told me to keep watching her for a while.
I wish I could know what bothers her and help her... now I just hope she'll be alright.
本日の診察で言われたひとこと。思わず「はぁ？」と言ってしまい、気まずい沈黙がしばらく続いた後、「うーん、ないね」で終わりました。
じつは、傷口は小さくなって良くなっているものの、問題は鼻血。波平が左あしでよく鼻をほじってるんですけど、これで傷つけてしまって鼻血が出る。中に血液が固まって不快になる、またほじる…という悪循環になってしまっているわけです。
常に両足で止まっていないといけない状態だったら、ほじることはできない、というロジックだったんです。でも、床にいることもあるし、なかなか難しいお題だと思うのですが。
カラーも検討しましたが、先生は波平のことをよくわかっていて、「この子はカラーをすると食べなくなっちゃうから」と今回は見送り、お薬の処方を少し変えてもらいました。
なみちゃんが困ってること、わかってあげられたら、助けてあげられたらいいのにな、と切なくなりますが、これで落ち着いて、鼻ほじほじが減るといいですね。
