Sleep well / よく眠る

It was a national holiday here and it means Namihei was able to stay out of her cage longer. Well, she deserved it, actually, because I couldn't let her out last night. I had a class at photography school after work and came back late.
When I came back, she was sleeping on the swing in her cage in my room. She was sleeping so well and didn't notice me coming at all. If she were a wild one, I'm sure she can't sleep so well because of her enemies. Anyway, it's good to know that she feels safe enough with me though. And now she is napping again next to me. I know she is so tired from the moulting period! And me, I'm tired from the summer heat.

今日は祝日だったので、波平もいつもよりは長く放鳥時間を楽しみました。なみちゃんには長く楽しむ権利があったんです。だって、昨晩は放鳥時間がなかったんですから。私は仕事後、写真教室の授業があり、遅く帰宅しました。
帰宅すると、なみちゃんが私の部屋でブランコに乗ってスヤスヤ眠ってました。部屋に入ってきた私にまったく気づいてないほど、熟睡してたんです。もし野生のインコだったら、外敵を警戒して、そんなにぐっすりは眠れないでしょうね。こうやって私と一緒だと安心できると思われていることが、何よりうれしいですね。今もとなりで居眠りしてますよ、なみちゃん。換羽でお疲れですもんね。私も暑さでお疲れです。
