Pellets or Seeds / ペレットかシードか。

When I was a kid, I had never heard of pellets and fed my budgies with seeds. Most of them were doing well and actually I didn't need to take them to hospital at all.
But now things have changed. I think it's still controversial which is better, pellets or seeds. I tried several brands of pellets and Namihei finally chose one of them. She eats this one very well, so I'm thinking about shifting to the pellet diet in the future. Now I give her both of them half and half though. I just want her to have a long life, but also want to make it enjoyable one.

子供の頃、ペレットなんて聞いたこともなかったし、飼っていたインコたちには、当然のようにシードを与えていました。
ほとんどのインコたちは元気で、病院にも連れて行ったことがなかったほどです。
それが今、いろいろと事情が変わってきたんですね。ただ、ペレットとシード食のどちらがいいのかという点については、まだまだ議論の余地がありそうですが。
波平には数種類のペレットを試してみたところ、そのうちの１つのブランドのものはお気に召したらしく、食べてくれました。将来的には、完全にペレット食に切り替えようかとも考えていますが、今の時点では、ペレットとシードを半分ずつあげるようにしています。なみちゃんには長生きしてほしい、それだけじゃなくて、楽しい人生を送ってほしい、と願っています。
